travel south pacific french polynesia huahine fare around the village

Today, the town had a festive air as canoe racers from all over the South Pacific, New Zealand, and Hawaii gathered for the start of the Hawaiki Nui Va'a.
Navy ships were in port and many of the locals wore colorful pareas and flowered lais to celebrate the annual event.
Many locals had set up stands all along the main street along the water.
I have seen recent photos of Fare on Google Earth and I realize how lucky we were to visit the town during the Hawaiki Nui Va'a.
The Google Earth street photos show lots of new construction and none of the vibrant colors and festive atmosphere.

I thought how strange that the shipper would express his dislike for "Yannick" so publicly.
More recently, I found a Facebook page for Yannick LeBastard in Huahine and realized it wasn't an insult, just an addressee for the block.
